At just 23 years of age, Sydney-born but Perth-bred, Roy-Al can be described as one of the most dedicated next generation musicians in Australia today.

Having a penchant for poetry at an early age it wasn’t long before Roy-Al combined his love for writing and the hip hop culture together, with the one goal - to create a name for himself within Australia’s music industry.

Driven by his passion for music and inspired by some of the greatest musicians of all time including James Brown, Marvin Gaye and lyricists 2pac and Eminem, Roy-Al is fast becoming a name embedded on people’s minds.

In the past two years alone, the high achiever has walked the red carpet at the 2005 ARIA Awards, won the Best Urban Song award at the 2006 Western Australian Music Song Of The Year Awards alongside Christian Alexander, and has formed Undaground Records, the first urban orientated label to hail from Perth.

With a brand new album, Based On A Moment, on the way, Roy-Al is making waves. Already causing a stir around the country with his banging street single Oh!, the ambitious artist’s album is set to blow minds and speakers alike around the country with its hip hop and pop inspired sound teaming with awe-inspiring lyrics that everyone can relate to.
