Driven came together at the beginning of this year, roughly April 20t between Emmanuel (Jdsoul) and William(Rocky) aka “Driven”. The boys met in a park while William was jamming on a guitar, randomly enough he asked Emmanuel, “Can you sing ? “, they’ve been jamming together ever since.

The name Driven represents their drive, purpose and aspirations. Driven to make a change in the community and keeping in touch and upto date with the happenings of the world. Before coming together, both Jdsoul and Rocky were doing music individually, Jdsoul worked with Derick Antunes originally of the “”New Kids On The Block”, his influence stated Jdsoul on his path to a recording career. Rocky who has been singing all his life,had been recording by himself as well as working with Dalbert Kahle.

Once coming together after their initial meeting. The boys next rondezvous was at church where Jdsoul had invited Rocky to accompany him. The boys ended up joining the choir, where Rocky who wasn’t a believer at the time, found his faith and new family with the church, the choir and his new musical family. After they both realised their passion for music and decided to apply themselves, Driven decided to start their recording careers together.

Their first venture into recording as a duo resulted in tracks that were more contemporary, during that time period, they went their separate ways to establish themselves as recording artists. After the brief break up, they began working together again and decided to make music that reflected their faith, lifestyle and personalities, the result “Driven”.

September 2007 marked the beginning of Driven, as the boys flew to Melbourne to record music with Markia, found their “Groove” and began building up Driven. As the boy’s prepared themselves spiritually and mentally.

The boys from Driven state, “To make an impact and reach people with our music and message on a local and international scale” . As long as you put your mind to achieving.
