FEAR AND LOATHING ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL '07
THE EXPLODERS (VIC) - RED JEZEBEL (WA) - THE MARES (NSW)

With a federal election nearing, three of Australian music's brightest hopes join forces to poll some of their own electorates around the country. Hailing from three different states, the trio of bands - THE EXPLODERS, RED JEZEBEL and THE MARES - will hit Sydney, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Ballarat, Geelong and Melbourne in November.

Representing Victoria (hailing from regional Lake Bolac), the rock 'n' roll machine that is THE EXPLODERS recently released their second album ‘Easy And The Sun’ on Rubber Records. Having played all the right festivals over the past two years (Falls, Splendour in the Grass, The Great Escape), The Exploders' live show is one not to be missed, especially now following the recent recruitment of Sleepy Jackson members Malcolm Clarke and J. Cortez.

Western Australia's RED JEZEBEL will be launching their second album How I Learnt To Stop Worrying on this tour. With their singles Kicking Deadly Sins and More Than You'll Ever Know currently receiving significant Triple J and other national airplay, the Perth band has just come off the road from a month-long touring stint with Little Birdy, which saw them drive 9000kms in a motorhome. The new album, produced by band member of multi WAMi-award-winning producer Dave Parkin (Snowman, The Panda Band, The Silents), is already impressing the hell out of anyone that's heard it - it's out October 13 on Sunday Ride Records.

New South Wales will be sending through some fresh blood in the form of Sydney quartet THE MARES. They like their music loud and damaged, treading a line between collapse and beauty. Their debut EP Love Billows From My Soul …. was released earlier this year and featured the single ‘Biscuit Tin’ that was picked up by national radio Triple J and managed number 16 spots back to back on Saturday mornings’ JTV. Currently touring with their newly released digital single New Day, The Mares will be out to impress the voters as the nation decides.
