Patrick Neu skillfully captures the essence of his chosen subject by using strong compositions combined with carefully selected photographic techniques. He succeeds in revealing his subject’s uniqueness by creating a strong balance between the visual and the emotional impact. His fascination with nature’s design, its use of symmetry, colours and intricate details is apparent in his work.

Patrick Neu was born in 1965 in Saarland in the South West of Germany. Growing up surrounded by forests & lakes; he developed his appreciation for nature and passion for photography at a very early age. He took his first photographs at the age of 5, owned his first camera at 8 and was processing and printing his own work, both B&W, RA4 prints and cibachromes at 14. Neu came to Australia in 1989 completed a BA in Photography at RMIT in 1994 and has been living and freelancing in Sydney since 1995.
