Claudia Chambers is passionate about percussion as a tool for self expression, building connections, and having fun! Coming from a teaching and training background she has worked with corporate groups, community organisations, schools and individuals of all different ages and abilities for over 15 years. She lived in Spain for five years studying Spanish flamenco percussion and dance from leading Flamenco artists including Juan Flores (Duquende, Manuel Soto), Isaac Figueras (Chiquelo) and Pepe Motos (Sara Baras Flamenco Company, Paco de Lucia). She then moved to Ireland where she worked as percussionist (Luka Bloom, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Viento y Fuego) and teacher/facilitator (Drums for Fun - corporate team building, The Irish Drum Academy, and Walton's New School of Music.)

Through Aurora Percussion Claudia runs team building events, schools interactive performances, train the trainer percussion workshops and classes of many different kinds. All guaranteed to get your heart beating! It offers a journey into the wonderful world of rhythm. Whether it's work colleagues, school students, club members or friends, Aurora Percussion will take your group on the adventure that's right for you! There is Team Tapas! - a fun filled evening of team building, and Spanish cuisine, Hip Hop Duende for young people, Drumming Up Confidence workshops for women, Spanish Fiesta Drumming Circles and for Flamenco aficionados, Cajon Classes. Claudia's workshops are varied and include: Drumming up Confidence

• Drummers and percussionists who wish to explore flamenco rhythms as a way of expanding their own rhythmic abilities.
• Flamenco musicians and dancers who would like to deepen their understanding of flamenco’s underlying    rhythms, or ‘compas’.
• Anyone who is simply interested in learning to play flamenco rhythms and/or the cajon.

AURORA PERCUSSION
       
During these workshops, students learn techniques for playing the cajon as well as some of the main flamenco rhythms (tangos, bulerias, alegrias, tanguillos, rumba). The relationship between the cajon and the other elements of flamenco (guitar, song, dance and palmas) are also be explored, as well as approaches to accompanying dance.
